John & Valerie Curry Educational Scholarship Fund
The proceeds from the Hilton Head Wine & Food Festival’s wine auction at the Grand and Public Tastings support the John & Valerie Curry Educational Scholarship Fund for college students pursuing degrees in the hospitality & tourism field. Scholarships are currently offered at the University of South Carolina Beaufort and the Technical College of the Lowcountry. In the last eight years, we have provided $120,000 in scholarships to deserving students.
The Culinary Institute of the South
The festival was proud to be a partner at the October 15, 2019, groundbreaking for the Culinary Institute of the South, opening in the Fall of 2020.
The gift from the festival goes to the creation of the Hilton Head Wine & Food Dr. Bob Hohman Student Study Lounge at the Culinary Institute of the South at the Technical College of the Lowcountry.
